Morales will begin his new duties as the WPD Director on October 28, 2019. Under the direction of Assistant City Manager Rey Arellano, the Director of the Watershed Protection Department is responsible for planning, directing, and providing leadership for department operations; this includes overseeing the activities involved in managing the Citys creeks, drainage systems, and water quality programs with a focus on reducing the impact of flooding, erosion, and water pollution.
